About
My name is Dani Sarns
Hi, I’m Dani—a triple wolverine with a background in communications, business, and social work. My diverse path has shaped how I connect with people and understand the many layers of who we are and what we carry. I’m passionate about helping individuals build confidence, resilience, and balance—whether they’re navigating pressure, perfectionism, or simply trying to feel more grounded in who they are. My goal is to create a space where you and your child/teen feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow on your own terms.

Mission
My mission is to empower children, teens, and adults to gain a strong sense of self. I help high achievers navigate the pressure to succeed, build authentic confidence, and create a life that’s both fulfilling and sustainable. Whether you're facing performance anxiety, burnout, or a major life transition, I’m here to support your growth from the inside out—so you can thrive with clarity, purpose, and resilience.

Method
My approach is grounded, practical, and personal. I help you understand what’s getting in the way—whether it’s pressure, fear of failure, burnout, or self-doubt—and give you the tools to move through it. Together, we’ll build emotional skills, strengthen your mindset, and create habits that support your goals and well-being. You’ll learn how to manage stress, trust yourself more, and feel proud of who you are—not just what you do. My goal is for you to walk away with more clarity, confidence, and the freedom to show up fully in your life.

Credentials
Certifications & Qualifications
Psychology Expertise
I hold an MSW from the University of Michigan School. My training emphasized a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and I’ve developed expertise in supporting clients through anxiety, perfectionism, stress, and identity challenges.
Therapeutic Passion
I’m deeply passionate about helping clients untangle the pressure to be perfect and reconnect with who they truly are. Whether it’s a child learning to express big emotions, a teen navigating self-doubt, or an adult wrestling with burnout, I’m honored to be part of that journey. I believe therapy should be a space where people feel safe to show up fully, explore their inner world, and build the tools to live with more confidence, clarity, and compassion. Supporting others in finding their voice, rediscovering their strengths, and creating meaningful change is the heart of my work.
Expertise and Specialization
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, stress, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are high-achieving or highly sensitive individuals who often feel overwhelmed by pressure, self-doubt, or the need to constantly prove themselves. My expertise lies in helping clients build emotional resilience, improve self-esteem, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and their goals. I integrate evidence-based practices with creative and mindfulness-informed strategies to support lasting growth—both in daily life and in high-pressure environments.
Professional Affiliations
I provide therapy as part of the team at Lyon Counseling Center, a private group practice based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. At LCC, I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians who share a commitment to high-quality, client-centered care. Being part of this practice allows me to offer individualized support within a community that values clinical excellence, growth, and compassionate connection.
Comprehensive Approach
I take a holistic, individualized approach to therapy that blends evidence-based practices with creative and mindfulness-informed strategies. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), sport psychology, and humanistic principles, I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the person in front of me. For children and teens, this may include play, art, or movement-based techniques; for adults, we may focus on mindset, values, and stress regulation. Across all ages, I aim to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow—not just in how they perform, but in how they live.
